The Gardens of Stone Alliance, together with Young Nerve, is urgently convening a community meeting and protest concert to push back against coal pollution impacting Sydney’s drinking water catchment and the sensitive Gardens of Stone region and World Heritage area.Underground coal mining is damaging groundwater, destroying endangered peat swamps, and threatening nature.
We can’t allow this to happen. Our drinking water should not become a dumping ground for coal waste. We need a public, independent inquiry now: Say no to coal mine expansions or extensions in the sensitive Gardens of Stone.
Join us as we hear from leading water expert, Dr Ian Wright, Blue Mountains MP Trish Doyle, Greens MLC, Sue Higginson and Blue Mountains’ Mayor, Mark Greenhill. You can RSVP to this free event here.
