Federal Election 2019
An Overview

Election Outcome

The Conservation Society congratulates Susan Templeman (Labor) on her re‑election.

Susan Templeman won the seat by 371 votes - making Macquarie the most marginal seat in Australia.

On the 18th May the people of Australia will elect their next federal government.

The outcome of this election will have repercussions both locally and globally - and concerns action on climate change, environment laws and the status of our world heritage national parks.

An election is one of your best opportunities to have a real say about these vital areas.

The Society's 2019 Federal Election webpages have been prepared to provide details of all candidates in the Macquarie Electorate.

The Macquarie Electorate

The Federal Electorate of Macquarie basically consists of the state electorates of Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury plus Glenbrook and Lapstone.

If you live in either the Blue Mountains City Council, or Hawkesbury City Council, then you are in the Electorate of Macquarie.

Shown below is a map of the Macquarie Electorate - here's a larger version (3MB)
